May 4, 2010

When i came up to see you today, the top of your toes started to look better, but the tips and bottom of them don't look very good. Yesterday the plastic surgeon said that for sure the tips will have to come off and possibly the whole toe. We are praying you can keep your toe. But know this, even though you will have some scars and damage done because of this disease, you need to realize how lucky you are. Be grateful that it is as small as it is. The doctors keep calling you a miracle baby. You obviously have a purpose for still being here. This will change your physical life, but it is not in vain, because this experiance has changed your daddy and I in an emotional and spiritual way. This brought us all closer together, and made us realize how important and fragile life is.

  3. Jessica, you are so amazing to me. You have been so positive through all of this. I tear up every time I read your blog, but I'm grateful that things are going as well as they are. I'm trying to appreciate every moment with my little baby, even when he's extra cranky because you just never know what tomorrow might bring. I love you guys and continue to pray for all three of you. Know that I'm always here for you in any way possible.

  4. We have not stopped thinking about your family since we heard the news. Know that your story is touching so many, helping us to look at life differently and thank Heavenly Father for His mercy. The night I heard about Genesis' condition I held my own new little girl and just cried. I am in awe of your optimism and faith; it is a strength to me. Thank you. We will keep you all in our prayers.
