You are doing better today than you were yesterday. You kept trying to itch your legs with your feet, so the doctors gave you some medicine to make you not so itchy. They also are going to start putting food in your tummy with a tube. This will be the first time you will have food in your tummy for twelve days! That is a long time. They thought that you were going to have to have medicine to help your heart again, but you decided that you were strong enough to do it on your own. You keep proving to us how strong you really are. The second day we were here some people made a poster for you, of all the things that you like to do. So I took a picture of it so you could see how cool it is.

  1. Jessica,
How made the cute poster? Is it a service group at Primary Children's? That would be neat to add a note of why they made the poster. What a fun thing for them to do. We love you all and pray for you daily.

  2. On my above comment I meant to say, "Who made the cute poster?"

  3. the hospital has an organization called child life services that sets up things for volunteers to do for the kids each day, or every other day. but it is an actual job running the child life services and they are in charge of getting stuff for the kids to play with and to lift thier spirits.

  4. Hi, Jessica,

I have been following your blog all week since it was mentioned at church--I was visiting my parents (the Willis's). Your story touches my heart for several reasons. For one thing, I also have a little vivacious 2-year-old, and I can only imagine the difficulty of watching a little one so sick. I have been thinking a lot about you, the mom, this week being alone without your husband. I pray that you can be comforted and strengthened, as well as for Nessa's recovery. I know I'm a stranger, but if you are bored and need someone to talk to, you're welcome to email: anadotes@juno.com.

PS--I love the format of your blog how you write for Nessa. It is sweet.

  5. Hang in there Jessica. I too love your blog. I look forward to the posts everyday to see how she is doing! She is a fighter! I saw Jill today and she said she came to visit. That is great. I hope you have a lot of people to come see you and help with things.
