Daddy, Pappa, and Nanna came up last night. I could tell how excited you were to see them, you tried so hard to open your eyes, when you heard their voices. When daddy came down, he brought a lot of stuff for you that people sent. It is amazing to see how much people care. Never doubt or forget how much you are loved. You don't realize how many people in your life you leave an impression on. Also remeber that as much bad as there is in the world, there is an equal if not greater good. As we are up here fighting for your life, I have never seen so much love and compassion from not only people we know, but also complete strangers. We are excited today because they put a different tube down your nose and into you stomach to feed you some food. When we took your picture you opened your eyes! Our little model. We love you so much and are so grateful for all of our blessings.

Keep fighting Nessa! You are doing so well, I barely even know you but you are fighting so hard for your life. Gavage tubes really bite - at least that's what I think my nephew, Joey, would tell you if he could truly remember his time with a gavage tube (he was only a few months old). Keep fighting sweetie. I can't wait to see you when you come back home and are well enough to come back to church.
ReplyDeleteJessica... amazing song choice. Thank you for documenting what is going on with Nessa. I know it's hard for you to see her like this... it was hard for me with my nephew, Joey. But, faith really comes into play... doesn't it? ... in stuff like this. Don't give up. I'll let you go now, tell Nessa "hi" from me even though she doesn't really know who I am. If possible, could you tell her what I told her in this comment?
